Consent Management Policy

Effective Date: July 3, 2026

This Policy explains how we obtain, record, and let you manage your consent for different types of data processing.

1. Where We Ask for Consent

• Non-essential analytics identifiers, requested on first app launch (see our Cookie Policy).

• Location access, requested when you first use a location-based feature such as the live map or date location-sharing.

• Camera, photo library, microphone, and calendar access, requested only when you use the related feature (e.g. taking a profile photo, sending a voice message, or adding a planned date to your calendar).

• Processing of verification/biometric data (selfie/liveness check) during identity verification, which is explicit consent under Article 9 GDPR.

• Marketing communications, which are opt-in and separate from account creation.

2. Managing Your Consent

You can review and change most consent choices at any time in Settings > Privacy, or by adjusting permissions in your device's operating system settings. Withdrawing consent for a feature may limit your ability to use that feature but will not affect your account overall.

3. Consent Records

We keep a record of the consents you give (what was consented to, and when) for accountability and audit purposes, stored securely and retained in line with our Data Retention Policy.

4. Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
