Verification & Badge Policy

Effective Date: July 3, 2026

We offer identity verification at onboarding to improve authenticity and safety on Flow.

1. How Verification Works

• Phone number verification via a one-time SMS code.

• A live selfie/liveness check, processed by our identity-verification partner, used to confirm you are a real, present person.

• We do not require you to upload a copy of a government-issued ID, passport, or driver's licence.

2. The Verified Badge

• Verified users receive a badge, currently shown in gold, indicating they have completed our verification checks.

• Verification does not grant any algorithmic advantage in matching or visibility; it exists for safety and transparency only.

3. Data Handling

Verification data is processed under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy and Data Security Policy, is not shared with other users, and is not sold to third parties.

4. Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke a verified badge, suspend, or remove an account where fraudulent behaviour, a duplicate account, or misuse of the verification process is detected.
