Matching Algorithm Disclosure
Effective Date: July 3, 2026
This Disclosure explains, at a high level, how Flow's meet-request and discovery features work.
1. What Drives Your Suggestions
- Preferences you set (e.g. age range, distance, intentions/relationship goals, and other filters).
- Your approximate location, where location is enabled.
- Your in-app activity, such as who you send meet requests to and which profiles you engage with.
- Account status, such as being a verified user and, for Premium members, expanded visibility and filters.
2. What We Do Not Do
- We do not manipulate matching results to artificially increase engagement or time spent in the App.
- We do not create fake profiles or use bots to fill the user base.
- Free membership includes a cooldown period on certain intention filters; this is a feature limit, not a ranking manipulation.
3. Premium Effects
Premium status can increase visibility (e.g. profile boosts, spotlight, and additional filters) but does not change how safety, verification, or moderation rules apply to any account.
4. Your Control
You can adjust your preferences and filters at any time in Settings, and block or report any profile you no longer want to see.
