This document summarises your privacy rights under the main data protection laws that may apply to you: the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Our Privacy Policy describes in full what we collect and why. Where these laws apply to us, we follow them.
1. Who Is Responsible
Jeuring-Interactive LLC is the data controller (under the CCPA, the "business") responsible for your personal data in Flow. Contact: legal@meetonflow.com.
2. Your Rights at a Glance
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Know and access: find out what personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Delete: have your account and personal data deleted.
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object or restrict: object to certain processing, or ask us to limit it.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
- Human review: ask a person to review an automated decision that significantly affects you.
- Opt out: opt out of the use of your data for personalised advertising.
- Non-discrimination: exercising these rights never leads to worse treatment. The only exception is that a free account without personalised ads will still show ads.
3. How to Use Your Rights
- In the App: download your data with "Request my data" in Settings, correct your profile at any time, and delete your account with "Delete account" in Settings.
- By email: send any other request to legal@meetonflow.com.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, so that nobody else can access or change your data. We respond within the time the law allows: one month under the GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA and 30 days under PIPEDA. If we need more time, as these laws allow, we will tell you why.
You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof that you have authorised them.
4. Sensitive Data
Some data in a dating app is sensitive, such as your sexual orientation, what you are looking for in a relationship, and the biometric data used for optional identity verification. We use this data only to provide the features you choose to use. Biometric data is processed only with your explicit consent and is deleted as soon as the verification decision is final. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than providing the App, keeping it safe and complying with the law, so under California law there is no need to ask us to limit its use.
5. Selling and Sharing
We do not sell your personal data for money. On the free version of Flow, advertising partners such as Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network may use device identifiers to show personalised ads. Under California law, this can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out at any time:
- In the App: Settings, then "Privacy preferences", then "Ad privacy choices".
- On your device: decline or turn off app tracking on iOS, or delete or reset the advertising ID on Android.
- Premium members see no ads at all.
6. International Transfers
Our servers are in the European Union (Denmark). Some of our service providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. For transfers out of the EEA, the UK or Canada, we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Children
Flow is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
8. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please contact us first at legal@meetonflow.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority:
- EU or UK: your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
- California: the California Privacy Protection Agency.
- Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
