Consent Management Policy

Effective Date: September 27, 2026

This Policy explains when Flow asks for your consent or permission, how we record it, and how you can change your mind.

1. When We Ask

  • Legal documents: when you sign up, and whenever an important document changes, you are asked to accept our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and other required policies.
  • Personalised ads: in the EEA and the UK, through Google's consent form; on iOS, also through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • Biometric data: before identity verification starts, we ask for your explicit consent to the processing of your biometric data.
  • Device permissions: location, background location for Live Location, camera, microphone, photos, calendar, notifications and Face ID or fingerprint, each only when you first use the feature that needs it.
  • Live Location: your position is only shared in the background after you switch Live Location on.

We do not send marketing emails, so we do not ask for marketing consent.

2. Managing Your Choices

  • Ads: Settings, Privacy preferences.
  • Location, Live Location, online status, read receipts, notifications and what your profile shows: Settings.
  • Device permissions: your phone's settings app.

Withdrawing consent may stop a feature from working, but it does not affect the rest of your account, or the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.

3. Records

We record which versions of our legal documents you accepted and when. Your ads consent choice is stored on your device by Google's consent tool. We keep acceptance records in line with our Data Retention Policy.
